Recognizing the Voice
Reading: John 10:27-28 - My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
Devotional: In our noisy world—notifications, demands, opinions, anxieties—how do we recognize the Shepherd's voice? Jesus said His sheep know His voice. This knowing comes through relationship, not religious activity. You learn His voice the same way you learned your parent's or spouse's voice—through time spent together. His voice aligns with His character revealed in Scripture. It brings peace, not confusion. Conviction, not condemnation. Direction, not manipulation. Today, practice listening. Turn off distractions. Sit quietly. Ask God to speak. Then wait. Don't rush to fill the silence. The Shepherd is speaking—are you positioned to hear Him?
