The Decision Before You
Reading:
John 6:66-69 - From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
Devotional:
C.S. Lewis was right—Jesus leaves no room for neutrality. You cannot call Him a good teacher while rejecting His claims to be God. He is either Lord, liar, or lunatic. There's no comfortable middle ground. Many walked away from Jesus when His teaching became difficult, and He turned to the twelve and asked, "Will you leave too?" Peter's response echoes through centuries: "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." Today, Jesus asks you the same question. When His Word challenges your comfort, will you stay or walk away? When culture offers easier paths, will you follow the Shepherd? This isn't about perfection—it's about direction. The sheep aren't strong; they're simply committed to hearing and following. What's God saying to you? What will you do about it?
