Domino Effect 3-15-26
This powerful message invites us into a deeper understanding of how God speaks to us through what are called 'Kairos moments' - those pivotal times when God is trying to get our attention and redirect our lives. Drawing from Mark 1:15 where Jesus declares 'the time has come,' we discover that biblical repentance isn't merely behavior modification but a complete transformation of how we think. The Greek word 'metanoia' reveals that true change begins in our minds, while 'pisteo' (believe) calls us to action - to live out what we claim to believe. What makes this teaching so relevant is its honest acknowledgment of what our Kairos moments actually look like: sometimes we feel directionless, sometimes we're at a clear crossroads, sometimes we're lost in a maze, and sometimes - perhaps most often - we're experiencing what was colorfully described as a 'dumpster fire.' These aren't signs of failure; they're God's megaphone getting our attention. The critical insight is that we cannot navigate these moments alone. Just as pilots need co-pilots and surgeons need mentorship, our spiritual transformation requires community. We need others who are gifted differently, who hear from God in ways we don't, to help us discern what God is truly saying and what we should do about it. This is the missing ingredient in Western Christianity - we've focused on information delivery but neglected the imitation and community that Jesus modeled with His disciples.
