A Small Thing 12-7-25
Ever missed your exit and felt your whole world shift? That moment when you have to choose between staying frustrated or simply rerouting can teach us everything about how God works in our lives.
Joseph faced a much bigger decision than a missed exit. He was a righteous man who should have publicly disgraced Mary according to the law. But something changed. He chose mercy over judgment. He chose to step forward instead of withdraw. And that one small change literally changed everything for all of humanity.
This Christmas season, God might be nudging you toward a small change. Maybe it's reconciling a relationship. Taking a risk you've been avoiding. Starting something you keep putting off. The question isn't whether the change is big enough to matter. The question is: will you stop withdrawing and start moving?
God told Joseph two things: START something (take Mary as your wife) and DON'T STOP (name the child and become his father). What is God asking you to start? What is He asking you to maintain?
Small changes change everything. The Christmas story proves it. Your attitude should be the same as Christ Jesus, who didn't consider equality with God something to hold onto, but made himself nothing and became human for us.
Don't be afraid. Don't withdraw. Don't avoid. Reroute and trust God with what comes next.
